Fat Samurai

A noble, chubby warrior of the Edo period. A worthy companion and desk ornament.

I’ve always loved desk toys and tchotchkes that people use to personalize their space. So, I wanted to design my own.

During my design process, I gave myself a few rules: I wanted it to be made of wood, carved by a laser cutter, and to be paired with a detachable weapon. To make sure the dimensions of the design were accurate, I built 3D prototype to scale in C4D before bringing him to life in the wood shop.

Here’s the laser cut file for you to make your very own Fat Samurai!

GE Power Lines

Our goal with Power Lines was to humanize GE’s amazing technology. We wanted to show how their advances in renewable energy are helping power our world. We chose paper craft because we felt it helped make their monolithic structures and esoteric engineering more approachable to an everyday audience.

GE's Creators Circle: 360 Livestream

This was the craziest production I’ve ever worked on. It was one of those projects where you pitch a “Hail Mary”, expecting the client to kill it. Yet somehow, they end up loving it and now you have to make it a reality. We created a custom 360 set of a house with 3 different rooms–a living room, a bathroom, and an office/studio space. We matched each room with a unique influencer to showcase the benefits of each of our bulbs: Relax, Refresh, and Reveal.
